🚨What's NEXT For Miles Bridges ⁉️
What is next for Miles Bridges? coming into a new role I detail the areas of improvement I want to see from Miles Bridges next season
🐝Miles Bridges is coming off of a season where he averaged 21/7 on 46 FG% for the struggling 21-61 Charlotte Hornets last season. Bridges was asked to play a playstyle or a role that may not be best suited for him in the NBA but all things considered showed an improved ability to finish inside with multiple uses of different types of layups especially on drives to his right hand. Corner close mid-range post triple threat Jumpshots was a nice move to his repertoire. Also, Bridges showed he has the ability to create for himself as an Isolation scorer when needed. Bridges had a nice range of euro steps and gather steps when he beat his defender off of the dribble to bait a defender into and-1 opportunities.
Bridges New Deal
🔥Bridges recently signed a team friendly descending three-year $75 Million contract to stay with The Charlotte Hornets through the 2026-27 NBA season.

How Was Miles Bridges Return?
⚡Bridges had an up and down year from having two 40+ point performances setting a career-high 45 point game against Toronto. To having issues with his shooting efficiency, and other areas but only missed 3 games the entire season after coming back off of his suspension. Bridges ability to stay healthy is really valuable for a team that struggles to stay healthy overall. Bridges dependability to play 70+ games pretty consistently is very important to The Charlotte Hornets going forward.
A New Role
🔵Bridges is going into a new role for the Hornets. A #3 option moving forward behind LaMelo Ball & Brandon Miller while also being asked to be the veteran leader in the starting lineup.
There are a few areas that I think Bridges needs to improve on to have success in Charles Lee's new system and to be a long term piece to a young Charlotte Hornets core for the next few years.

Areas of Improvement
🏀Shooting Efficiency/Shot Selection - From a efficiency prospective Miles bridges had one of his worst seasons of his career so far with career-low's all across the board. This can be attributed to the lack of spacing due to no real scoring threats being on the court outside of Brandon Miller for most of the season making it difficult to Bridges to find driving lanes/angles to finish around the rim. Miles Bridges this year took a career high 29% of all his shot attempts from the mid-range area although I do think Bridges has the frame to develop a mid-range post up game utilizing jab-spins, turn around fades, post spins to attack the rim especially if he is able to get switches onto smaller wings. I do think that percentage should go down from 300+ attempts to around 200-220 attempts from the mid-range area.
🔐Defensive Improvement - With less of a night in and night out offensive responsibility Miles Bridges has an opportunity to take a defensive focus to become a good defender for the Charlotte Hornets. Bridges has the length and strength to be a plus defender to help the Hornets end defensive possessions and run in transition to get easy buckets. 1. Improve his help-side coverage 2. improve communication on his rotations with his teammates 3. needs to be the vocal leader on the defensive side of the ball 4. already a great defensive rebounder for his size and position use this skill to get out in transition
AIRBNB Has His Legs Back?
☑Miles Bridges seemed to not have the same level of athleticism he did a few years ago. But recently with Bridges saying he got his bounce back IF that can translate into something like we saw in 2021-2022 watch out... Not only does that improve his offensive impact in PNR's with LaMelo Ball. His athleticism would improve his own Isolation scoring ability. On defense it would impacts his ability to get to closeouts quicker, get high elevation on his shot contests and possibly better BLK%
✅IF Miles Bridges identifies his weaknesses and works to improve those areas he could be a valuable veteran for the Charlotte Hornets over the Next few seasons
